Description
The Green Mountain Trail, also known as the Madison County Trail is located on top of Green Mountain on the south side of Huntsville, Alabama. The trail circles Green Mountain Lake in a loop that passes through the covered bridge and by a chapel and cabin on the opposite side of the lake.
The lake and trail are popular places throughout the year but especially during the fall when the orange, burgundy and purple colors of fall begin to show.
