Description
Reflections of blue, pink and orange can be seen during this beautiful early summer sunset looking over the I-40 bridge and the Mississippi River from the glass observation deck of the Bass Pro Shop Pyramid in Memphis, Tennessee.
Lights line the bridge each evening as the sun begins to set over the Arkansas Delta. From this vantage point not only can you see Arkansas but this is the beginning of the what is the Mississippi Delta.
The Pyramid was the long time home of the Memphis Grizzlies and the University of Memphis Tigers until they moved to the Fedex Forum a few years ago. Bass Pro Shop has created quite a tourist attraction at the location.
Within the Bass Pro shop is the Big Cypress Lodge, The Lookout and the usual restaurants. To reach the Lookout you ride the largest freestanding elevator in America at 320 feet, 28 floors to the top. While on the elevator ride you can listen to the story of how Bass Pro came to Memphis and when you arrive at the top you step out into the restaurant to reach the observation decks.
