Description
Looking up toward the top of the pyramid in Memphis, Tennessee, home of Bass Pro Shop, the sunset is reflected in the glass toward the point of the pyramid.
Reflections of blue and orange can be seen during this beautiful early summer sunset when looking up from the glass overlook of the pyramid. Down below the I-40 bridge crosses the Mississippi River in the shadow of the pyramid.
Within the Bass Pro shop is the Big Cypress Lodge, The Lookout and the usual restaurants. To reach the Lookout you ride the largest freestanding elevator in America at 320 feet, 28 floors to the top. While on the elevator ride you can listen to the story of how Bass Pro came to Memphis and when you arrive at the top you step out into the restaurant to reach the observation decks.
The Pyramid was the long time home of the Memphis Grizzlies and the University of Memphis Tigers until they moved to the Fedex Forum a few years ago.
